HRDS INDIA's Spiritual Guiding Initiative - Guru ATMA NAMBI(Atmaji)

Atma Nambi was born on March 17th 1955 in a village called PazhayaKoodalur, Kumbakkonam, Tamil Nadu South India. Thiru Subramanian and Thirumathi Mayilaambal are His respected parents.

His spiritual journey started right from his school going days. Shri Nataraja Gurukkal was His first teacher. He learnt to perform pooja, rituals and yagnas from Him. This gave Him clarity in Bakthi Path. During these days His love for nature and His search in spiritual journey became deep. When He was 26 years, He met His second teacher Shri Lakshmi Narayanan, who guided and encouraged Him to do any work with total involvement. This gave Him clarity in Karma yoga.

The next Guru whom He met was, Shri Gnanaparanjothi. He initiated Him in Kundalini deeksha. He also taught Him various spiritual exercises which stabilised His spiritual journey. He had the opportunity to meet His next master Yogi Ram Surat Kumar of Tiruvannamalai. In his presence He experienced Satori.

Under the guidance of Guru Paranjothi, He met Shri Mohan Bharathi. He did His regular meditations and went into deep silence. His energy started collecting at a certain space and Enlightenment happened on 7th October 1994.

Guru Atma Ji has been keeping and continuing his spiritual relationship with HRDS INDIA’s Secretary Aji Krishnan for last sixteen years. He is always providing his prayers, guidance and direct support to HRDS INDIA’s projects. He is the back bone of HRDS INDIA.

Founder - Secretary - Aji Krishnan

Born in a picturesque and serene pastoral village in central Kerala , The founder secretary Sri Aji Krishnan spends his childhood in a natural domicile guarded by mighty mountains, gushing streams and thick woods . His young days were nurtured by the modest villagers whose honesty and virtues invariably got installed in his selfdom . Under the tutelage of his patents Sri CK Krishnan and Smt VK Omana , he developed a strong sense of selfless generosity and humanitarianism which later on getting evolved as a milestone in the genesis of a benign and philanthropic NGO called HRDS INDIA, resolved to touch the lives of millions of tribes dwelling all over the hilly fringes of India .

The Revolutionary doctrines of communism along with its non realistic intellectual socialism is a green pasture for all young bloods around the globe. He emerged as a pacesetter of eminence in all the contemporary social movements and party conventions. His revolutionary spirit and zest along with indepth analytical wisdom about the political movements won him many followers. After his successful graduation from college of fine arts, Sri Aji Krishnan became a political analyst and was instrumental in spearheading many political reforms and movements of social significance. It was at that decisive juncture as an analyst, he could fathom the ideological decay and deterioration inside the party, the nepotism and moral taint contaminating the party leadership like a pandemic infection. Soon after the demise of party doyen Sri EMS Nampoothiripad, the telltale signs of degeneration became apparent and Sri Aji Krishnan severed his party allegiance and moved on to work as Sub Editor of a magazine called "Ekopanam" which stood for a social cause.

As a part of his assignment, he had immense opportunity to travel along the length and breadth of this subcontinent and it was during these days of transit he stood face to face with the real India, her innocuous and powerless rustic people, her homeless and vagrant tribes, her underprivileged hamlets, and her poverty struck and barely clad children. The scars left on his conscience took shape in the form of a monumental NGO where he could be a cause to mitigate and oust all these miseries. The Saga of HRDS INDIA started from this noble dream. Sri Aji Krishnan with his deliberate foresight, creative acumen and practical sagacity steered the NGO to all those spheres where betterment of human life is involved. Viz Constructing 10 lakh houses for the rural villagers living in the hilly fringes of the Indian subcontinent , empowering the rural youth with skill development programmes, Restoration of desolate and reclining ashrams which once were the spiritual nerve centers of our tradition, etc. Under the able guidance and backing of prominent personalities, and the RSS establishments, he progressed towards his goals triumphantly bringing forth laurels and citations to the organization . With a degree in Science from St Xavier’s College, Calcutta and with a passion for excellence in Accounting, he pursued his interests in Cost Accounting which enabled him to start his own center in Cochin for the purpose of training, chartered accountants, cost accountants and company secretaries under the name MCS Cochin and today his students occupy prime positions in industry and are a major source of funds for his humanitarian and philanthropic activities in the North East India. From 1999, he moved to the North East India, where he initially set up an NGO in Imphal, Manipur by the name of the Boys Town Foundation, which is a non profit, non political and non religious organization aimed at visualizing a self-sustaining, self-reliant and dignified community where people live responsibly, striving for a just, equal and harmonious society.

The pioneering activity consisted in establishing a structure which began catering for 23 orphaned boys in 2005. The heart of compassion made him branch out into identifying clever but poor students from the remotest villages of Manipur and began supporting them for their education. Such a work began to gain acceptance even among government circles and gradually spread to the other six north eastern states of Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Tripura and Mizoram gradually culminate in various Community Development Programs and Community Health Projects supported by friends and benefactors from India, Italy and Austria. Along with this, the preaching and healing ministry across the villages of the North East gained wide popularity and today, he is an internationally acclaimed preacher with support groups all over and is constantly involved in reaching across to the needy people regardless of caste, creed and belief systems. Conflict resolution and peace building among the various tribes of the North East made him gain proximity to government servants and Ministers and the Manipur Government recognized his services by allotting a completed building together with 75 cents of land in 2015. Citations and commendations from renowned personalities in the North East is an added proof of the commitment he has to the North East India.

The living condition of the poor in the North East warranted the outreach of him into Micro finance activities and working closely with Mr James Keishing, the Managing Director of NEREFS Ltd (North East Region Finservices Ltd), Boys Town Foundation was in the forefront to make available micro finance to individuals and SHGs for agricultural, horticultural and allied activities as well as small business units so that the socio-economic development of the poor in the North East Region could be enhanced and thus poverty to a certain extent could be eradicated. Such a need arose as the banking penetration in the northeast being poor, people are highly dependent on money lenders who charge exorbitant interest rates apart from demanding other modes of security. With such a rich, diversified and humanitarian background, he is heading our expansion and networking plans in the North East India, a region entirely different from the rest of India, both in terms of geography and culture.
