Rishis and Acharyas which was a dominant part of our culture. It is necessary to propagandize the concept of Yoga and Ayurveda in this era. Fortunately, United Nations Organizations has initiated to spread the concerns for Yoga and Ayurveda worldwide. As a part of this, the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda are well received by people all over the world. Its fruitful impact has enriched India massively. But the problem arises when in India such ideas are hindered by these Ayurveda pharmaceutical industries. These firms are facing scarcity of raw materials from the country which has resulted in an increase in the cost of Ayurvedic Medicines and Products. To tackle this issue of cost hike in Ayurvedic Medicine and Products, HRDS INDIA is garnering an initiative - Project ‘Karshaka’, for the promotion of medicinal plants in the country. HRDS INDIA believes that it is an efficient way to address such a contesting problem. This project will accelerate the availability of high quality raw materials for the Ayurvedic Product Market, and can also convert plain lands of Tribal people into Agricultural land.

Through this HRDS INDIA can ensure a minimum income for the local tribes and will eventually make a noticeable change in their lives too. The Project Karshaka will also help to bring the oppressed and marginalized Tribal People into the main stream of the society. The major Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Industries in India; Patanjali, Himalaya, Dabur etc. has offered their full support and cooperation to HRDS INDIA for the implementation of Karshaka Project.

The term “woman” portrays a picture of oppressed social gender, is not always given due recognition in the society. Her portrayal has been more akin to a secondary subject after men, choking her dignity. The plight of poverty-stricken women is even worse and remains inadequately unacknowledged. The inception of the women empowerment project - Jwalamukhi project is in the light of these prevailing issues only, assisting these deprived women through the formation of SHG (Self Help Group). They will work together and run some small-scale business, for instance, managing a canteen or any stitching unit, so on and so forth. In this way, the project will strengthen these women financially and socially who are subject to harsh realities. It’s a collective assignment with acceptance, resolution, endurance and astute devotion for greater attainment of equal status in the society. They have not actively participated in their own emancipation due to rampant illiteracy and the absence of economic independence.

HRDS INDIA has, therefore, decided to address this important issue by empowering women and raising their status socially and economically. Several initiatives are currently underway to empower women through education, cooperative farming, vocational training, savings plans, and entrepreneurial guidance.

DDU- GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth. DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families.

As a part of the Skill India campaign, it plays an instrumental role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like the Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns. Over 180 million or 69% of the country’s youth population between the ages of 18 and 34 years, live in its rural areas. Of these, the bottom of the pyramid youth from poor families with no or marginal employment number about 55 million. The National Policy for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship 2015 has identified a skills gap of 109.73 million in 24 key sectors by the year 2022. This number cannot be achieved without addressing the BoP 55 million from rural India. Also, a FICCI and Ernst – Young study published in 2013 identified a shortage of over 47 million skilled workers across the globe by 2020. This presents an unprecedented opportunity for India to train its BoP youth population and place them in jobs across the world and realize its demographic dividend.
